How to Process a Hire
1. Scan the Customer’s Loyalty Card or find their profile through Customer Search (or if not add the customer as a member)
2.Click Activity and New Hire
3.Ask the Customer how many days they intend on hiring the Item and select the relevant profile listed:
4.Select the Serial No. labelled on the Hire Item
5.Select the matching Hire Deposit Item and inform the Customer how their deposit will be refunded(refer to terms of Hire Agreement)
6.Review the Hire Summary with the Customer
7.Once the transaction is finalised, two copies of the Hire Agreement will print.
If Eftpos tenderwas used, staple the Merchant receipt to the Store’s copy of the Hire Agreement.
8.Refer the Customer to a senior supervisor and have them sign the Hire Agreement
9.Give the Customer their copy and keep the Store’s one in a safe place
note: Most stores use a plastic sleeve folder marked ‘Store Hire Book’ to keep their signed
Hire Agreements. This is a great way of filing multiple receipts, paperwork etc.
