Tab
Description
Main
Criteria that is specific to the Item profile information. The most common searches used are based on description, supplier or category path.
When searching by description the search results will vary depending on the text entered, eg ‘PANA’ will list Items that begin with entered text such as Panadol, Panadine, Panache, Panama etc etc..
Using the % (wildcard) will help shorten the search. Eg SALLY HANSEN%NAIL will list any Item that has SALLY HANSEN (something) nail or %HARD%AS% NAILS will find any Item that has hard as nails in the description.
Category searches are more commonly used to produce lists for an entire dept, ie. search SOAPS in Category Level 2 and all Items within that department will be listed in the grid.
Advanced
Criteria that refers to date defined and specific ranging. The advance tabs have search functions based around SOH, merchandise range headings, created date and even rate of sale. Users can combine filters from more than one tab if required EG: List of all Baby merchandise with a rate of sale above 1.0 – Select baby category from main tab (1) and 1.0 in ROS which is located in the tab (2) advanced.
Advanced 2
Criteria based on Item status. Users are able to search for Items that do not have a 'Stock Spot' set against them. This filter can be found in the [2 Advanced] tab for any Item Search. This checkbox if 'Off' by default.
