Safety Net Family
Creating a Safety Net Family allows you to link multiple patients, so that their safety net contributions can be counted together.
To setup a Safety Net Family in Dispense Works:
- Select a patient
- Press [F8] to view Patient Details
- Click on the Safety Net Family tile that appears on the right hand side of the screen.
If the Family Details window is blank, this means that the current patient is not in a Safety Net Family.
To create a new Safety Net Family:
- Type in a name to give to the new Safety Net Family
- Click on Add Group Description
- Click on Save Patient Details Changes
To add a patient to an existing Safety Net family:
- Return to home screen and select a patient that has already been added to the Safety Net family
- Press [F8] to view Patient Details
- Click on the Safety Net Family tile that appears on the right hand side of the screen
- Search for a patient to be added by:
- Clicking on Suggest Family Members to find patients with a similar Medicare card number, or
- Searching for the patient manually by typing in the patient's Family Name then Given Name
- Click on the desired patient to be added
- Click on Add to Safety Net Family
- Assign a Role to the added patient
- Click on Save Patient Details Changes
