Health Services Guidelines
This guide has been developed to support the provision of all Health Services and Health Checks.
Team Member Training
- Ensure all team members have completed all the training modules in EdApp for all Health Checks.
- New team member onboarding should include EdApp introduction and a schedule to complete Health Check training.
- Refer to the specific procedure for each health check, available in Engage: Pharmacy Services – Health Services
General Health Services Process
- Think about how service provision can be built into your workflow.

Turn on all relevant services in the booking system. You can access the guide for booking system management HERE
- Ensure where possible all services are conducted in a consultation room or private area.
- Ensure you have advised the customer prior to commencing if there will be any fees for completion of the service.
- Please ensure any customers waiting for services are advised of the wait times and are updated.
- Record all services in MedAdvisor on the day of service so they can access the results in the MedAdvisor app.
- Apply the My HealthRewards points for eligible services at the register (POS).

Procedure for recording Health Checks in MedAdvisor
Search for the customer using their last name.
For new patients: prior to recording Health Check results in MedAdvisor, you can record patient details in your dispensing software then search for the patient in MedAdvisor.
Alternately, you can add a new patient in MedAdvisor using the patient’s name and mobile number or email.

- Sleep Apnoea (sleep study test date)
- Quit It (entered as Patient Consult)
Select the service from the Monitoring dropdown menu indicated in the below image (or Patient Consult for Quit It).
Enter the information you have recorded during the Health Check with the customer.
